Simeli Oy serves the Eastern Uusimaa region and its services include various road and property maintenance work, transportation, and rental services. The purpose of the website is to increase bookings of their services, so that the customer would easy get in reach. Also the website is a great hub for all the company's social media platforms. The client wanted to incorporate elements they were already using in their brand's designs - the golden strip.
Giving photos half of the estate on the screen was a bold move. It’s emotionally charged and communicates power. Visual storytelling through pictures can save a thousand words when introducing services to people. So much real estate on the screen allows tractors to look powerful and unstoppable. Also it helps to build trust by making you face people behind the company and show that they have nothing to hide.
I wanted customers to quickly remember that Simeli performs well on various terrains and in all weather conditions, so I used textures representing different landscapes. These elements are tied in with the gold element that I took from Simeli´s business card and logo as their main element. It makes the website visually appealing and striking.
Bold angular buttons and robust title font represent big heavy machinery not afraid of any hard job, no matter the weather. Combined with the colours of all 4 seasons it shapes company’s visual identity.
The company offers a wide range of services, so I organized and grouped 13 distinct titles under four dropdown menu categories. This allows customers to quickly access the information they need and easily find the relevant service.
